Expanding Our Capabilities

As Li Chuan grew, securing reliable raw materials and developing greater manufacturing capabilities became increasingly important.

This led to the expansion of our operations in Vietnam, where access to seafood resources and an established seafood industry provided an important foundation for the company's longer term development. The investment also enabled Li Chuan to integrate surimi raw material processing more closely with finished product manufacturing.

In 2009, Li Chuan selected a 20,000 m² site in My Tho, then in Tien Giang Province, to develop manufacturing facilities for surimi and surimi based products.

The Vietnam operation subsequently developed capabilities in both raw surimi processing and finished product manufacturing, supported by technologies including IQF and contact freezing.

As Li Chuan's operations developed across the region, the business evolved from its original Singapore manufacturing base into the regional network it has today.

With manufacturing operations in Singapore, China and Vietnam, each location now contributes different capabilities and market strengths to the wider Li Chuan business.
